Video Editing: With which simple tool can I... *UPDATE: Looking for a transcoder*

I have a 1GB Mpeg2 movie. Now I wanna copy only a part out of it. With which tool can I define a start frame/end frame and then save it untouched(not again compressed) as Mpeg2 stream?

you could try VirtualDub

I can only save it as AVI in VirtualDub. I also tried the mpeg2 mod but it wont let me do a "Direct Stream copy", so I have to first save it my mpeg2 movie as avi and then re-encode it, which is pretty senseless.

hm, little problem, it's a mpeg2 movie and now, I want to re-encode it to SVCD format, how would I do that?
