hey guys im going to be building a video editing rig that will also game. my question today is this
what is the best HDD NOT SSD!!!!!

for Video Editing and compositing
3ds max
and relatively quick loading times.

15K SAS drives. 😀

But they sound like jet engines...
 
Someone else might have more experience but honestly, I didn't notice a difference between my 10k velociraptor and a regular 7200 drive when working in Sony Vegas. I think you're much more cpu limited when it comes to video editing.
