hey guys im going to be building a video editing rig that will also game. my question today is this
what is the best HDD NOT SSD!!!!!

for Video Editing and compositing
3ds max
and relatively quick loading times.

Someone else might have more experience but honestly, I didn't notice a difference between my 10k velociraptor and a regular 7200 drive when working in Sony Vegas. I think you're much more cpu limited when it comes to video editing.

For large 1080p files you are going to want to go the RAID - 0 route.. The Samsung F3 1Tb drives are quiet, and cool... did i mention quiet?
