I would like to have someone edit some episodes of anime which I watch on my computer. What I want to do is cut the custom intro out of the file. The file (video) is encoded in DiVX version 4 and I would like it to stay that way. It is 188mb and would most likely tranfer the file over mIRC or if some other means of transport .If you could do this for free I would greatly apprecieate the time you have given me. If not I could scrounge up ~$10?? E-mail me or leave a post or PM here!

Get VirtualDub and cut out the first part. No decoding or reencoding necessary if you set it to "Direct Stream Copy". You just need to set the beginning and end.

More detailed instructions:

1) Open the file you want to edit from the "Open Video File" item in the File menu
2) Use the slider at the bottom to look for the place where you want the video to start. Click on the second button from the right (the tooltip should say "Mark In")
3) Use the slider to go to where you want the video to end. Click the last button on the right ("Mark Out")
4) From the Video menu, select Direct Stream Copy
5) Go to File and hit Save As AVI, select the directory, and it should be done in about 20 seconds.
