when video editing, have at least 2 hard drives. one for windows and all the programs, then another one for the video files. this way, you wont drop frames and audio for stuff that accessing the main drive. if you want get a 3rd drive. when you goto render your movie into a dvd or somethen, you can save it to that drive. This will really speed the render the process. You have the one drive just reading and feeding the other drive. What version of pinnalce studio are you using?

I wouldn't build around pinnalce
go to the pinnalce website forums and check out some users

I got pinnalce a few years ago while the software was neat they had about 100 patches per year and never got all the bugs worked out on the version I had.

as far as hardware goes one thing people don't think about is have at least two hard drives - one to read and one to write.

one problem I had with Adobe Premiere was the editing would be super choppy if the camera was still plugged in (mine was firewire), don't know why, but it was fine once I unplugged it
