I was playing neverwinter nights the other day and suddenly, my video card crashed and since then, every time I load a 3d games or even Limewire, I get a lot of artifacts in the middle of the screen. Websites and movies are perfect though. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling drivers, I even pulled the card out of the pcie slot and put it back, install factory drivers and upgraded to newest nvidia drivers and still the same thing. The video card temperature is around 50-70. So i guess some component on the video card is broken? I think the card probably overheated while i was playing. I was hoping that maybe it's on windows side and that some files responsible for graphics got corrupted? Can anyone confirm? Tx

Well, your statement "my video card crashed" is a bit leading. Assuming it is the video card, however, treat it like any other questionable video card.

I would try to install that card in a second machine, virgin install, and see what happens. Then you'd really know where the problem lies. If it doesn't work there your hardware is in trouble.

Good luck,

The problem is that I have only 1 machine with pci express :( The crash I meant is when the monitor suddenly stopped getting video signals and distorted sound came out of speakers and nothing could be done but to press the reset button :(.
