I just downloaded (legally) a whole bunch of videos in .ram and .mov flormat. Is there a way (program) to convert these files to mpeg or something Media Player can handle?

I hate having to have 3 media programs just to handle videos.
 
Media Player Classic handles everything with the appropriate codecs and filters installed. The QuickTime Alternative & Real Alternative packages provide that (both packages actually include MPC). Get 'em from free-codecs.com
