Video Card

Hi,

Requirement:

1. normal business applications
2. Some graphics editing
3. Some DV editing

Which Video card is good for me?

Sounds very 2D intensive and not very gaming oriented.

I would go with a Matrox card, they have GREAT 2d support

Probably a Matrox G400/G450 singlhead (unless you want a dualhed, which will support TWO monitors)

sure can. they're certainly another option, i've just always been a big matrox fan 🙂

Cool...just wanted to know. I've read that ATI and Matrox two of the best manufacturers for 2D cards. Thanks for clearing it up sohcrates.

Hi! Do you know of any place I can find unbiased comparision of current different video cards? Google doesn't seem to help me much! And you sound knowledgeable too!!! My GeForce GTS2 decided to work no more. The older Voodoo Banshee is very very tired!

I'd go for a Radeon VE, or a G450 os some sort (either dual or single). If you have the money, get a dualhead and it will be more useful if you ever want to go that route.
