get the X1900 XTX, it is the best for the price, it will beat a 7800GTX 512, but will be a bit slower than 2x7800GTX. But still is a lot cheaper than the other 2.

Wait for the 7900gtx and do SLI if money doesnt matter. then get an fx-60 and 4gb of ram. then you will realize that money does matter ;)

Somehow I doubt the 7900gtx will beat an X1900XTX but thats just me.

If you need the card now you wouldn't go wrong with the X1900XTX, else wait for the 7900GTX and decided by benches on your favorite games. I wouldn't buy the 7800GTX now as the 1900XTX is an overall better card and the 7900 is coming out in couple weeks. If money and noise and heat is no object then get Coressfire or SLI just for fun.

Out of the three get the XTX. That said, even though you have the $$$, the 1900XT saves you a $100 and gives up VERY little performance.

He said money isnt a problem.

Now, i want you to wait. Wait for Quad 7900GTX SLi. Grab yourself a FPW 3007 and play your games at 2560x1600 at 32xAA :D

But if thats TOO much, SLied 7900GTXs would be your choice (march 9th is the release date).

FAKE.

If money is no object why would you consider sli 256's when it's pretty obvious sli 512's would be better? o_O

I'd still go with the XTX though.

I'm guessing from your post you have a SLI mobo? nVidia isnt going to let ATI hold the single card performance crown for long. Right now if you want single card the 1900XT/1900XTX is the choice. SLI/Crossfire is a harder choice because the two companies are constantly coming out with newer cards. nVidia especially is on a fast track when it comes to pushing out new hardware. Since the 7900 series are about to launch I would hold off on the SLI option till we see what the various models will/wont do.

If you must have a video card now (as in today or this week) I'd get the 1900XT/1900XTX and then wait and see if getting two 7900 series in SLI a little later is even worth it. If you can wait til March altogether then you'll have a better idea of what the 7900s can/will do and their pricing. Two 7900s in SLI will undoubtedly beat the current ATI king but which two models is still open for debate until we see the benchmarks.

I wouldnt get an Alienware, unless money is REALLY no object. Expect to pay 2-3x what you would pay if you built it yourself.

Dont buy from alienware they use intel cpu's and ripp you off about 2-3 times the price if you built it yourself. If you dont know how to build your own at least buy from another company like
http://ibuypower.com/mall/lobby.htm -reputable company, almost every pc magazine features their ads. You'll want an AMD cpu for sure probably dual core X2, and my vote for vc goes to the x1900xt.

I don't think it's worth getting SLI now unless you run a HUGE resolution (higher than 1920x1440). Save your money for newer, faster, future cards. Well, maybe higher than 1600x1200, but it depends what settings you use. If you have LOADS of money, then Crossfire two X1900XTXs. Then later when next gen is here, sell them on eBay and Crossfire/SLI the next gen. If you plan on doing this, be sure to research about Crossfire first and possible limitations of it (one DFI Crossfire mobo had bad boot issues). Or, you may have less problems SLI'ing two 7800GTX 512s. Do let us know what resolution you will be playing games at and size of monitor.

I agree - even if money is no object, I still don't think you should give up that much money when there is a much cheaper alternative. And obviously for the best performance you can get a X1900 Crossfire, but like xtknight said you really only need it to game on high resolutions. Otherwise, for a single card, I'd recommend the X1900XT, because though the XTX is "top-of-the-line", its performance is barely better than an XT which you can easily overclock to an XTX anyway, saving yourself roughly a hundred bucks. Once again, even if you have a large budget, there's no need to waste money getting an XTX. At least, that's the way I see it, unless you have a truly astronomical budget.
