Actually, for your uses you might be better off with a Radeon HD3850 or Radeon HD3870. These cards can be had for ~$180/220 respectively and are a great value for the money. Still overkill for WoW and if that is really all you play just pick up the 3850 and you're good.

ya for my present needs your suggestion is all i need. But i am trying to proof myself with the technology atleast for a year or so. In future if i want to play any other game then i wont have to shop for a new card then.

thanks

Really no difference , grab the cheapest one you can find. Evga and BFG have a lifetime warranty.

thank you. I'll try the one best buy sells, i think its the BFG version. I want to buy B & M and try to fit the card in my computer.
Not sure what BB's policy, if i had to return the card if it doesn't fit. I'll go check it out.

i ordered the Dell deal on this card
GEFORCE 8800GT PCIE 512MB-DUAL DVI TVOUT OVERCLOCK

Shipping Method: 3-5 Business Days
Est. Ship Date: 12/10/2007
Est. Delivery Date: 12/13/2007-12/17/2007

Dell card never came, it keeps getting postponed. But i was lucky at the local BB store, i picked up the BFG, last piece.

I have a question, when i play wow i am getting 38 FPS with the new card. Is that the optimum or it i can get more out of it? I have wow running at max settings.

Nice card you got ... but get 2 Gigs of RAM...its cheap and you ll never regret it...that FPS is kinda low if ur outside...if it is in Shat is ok tho...

Currently i have 2x1gb and 2x512mb ram on my system. I checked the FPS in nagrand outside, more specifically near the nesingway camp.

I have read somewhere that people get 70FPS so i was wondering if i need to change any settings on the card.

I just installed the card and the drivers for it. I have the nvidia control panel which has lot of settings in it but i havent changed anything on it.

I'll google it & see if there is any setting i need to change
