Video card without external power and low profile?

I'm putting this into a business class PC, and we only order mini towers, so I need a lower profile card for Starcraft and things like that.

Thanks for any ideas... Not looking to spend a lot, I had a Radeon 5670 before but now that I'm upgrading my PC (leased at work), I need a new card (and this will be in the FS/FT section).

The HD6570 is the best card that fits your criteria, and unfortunately it's not as fast as the 5670 (the processor itself is nearly equivalent, but the memory is much slower DDR3). A quick search on Newegg does not show any low profile HD5670s (mentioned in the post above).

Anyways, a Radeon HD 6570 is the best low-profile reference design right now.

Just found that MSI low-profile card on SuperBiiz: http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php...R5-VGA-DVI-DisplayPort-PCI-Express-Video-Card. Alas, it's out of stock, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's not coming back, given that it's a custom design and the 5670 is more or less EoL'd. The OP might want to keep an eye on that link for a week or so to see if it comes back in stock.

Business systems often have low power PSUs. While the 5670 does not use a lot of power, have you confirmed that your PSU is large enought?

Just a bit of my experience. I had a low profile 9600GT from Galaxy. The cooling was absolutely terrible. Ran 70 to 80 deg C at idle and 95 deg C at load. Dont know if this is a general problem with poor cooling on low profile cards, but I was very disappointed in this one.

The low-profile 9600 GT probably wasn't a reference design. Low-profile reference design cards should be reliable and cool.
