Posting this for a co-worker that's looking to do some VHS -> DVD for home videos and such...

See if anyone has any thoughts on the All-in-Wonder Radeon 8500DV

Just looking for a decent card that allows you to contect a VCR, etc. for editing of VHS tapes to DVD.
The All-in-Wonder 9700 is to pricy. Is there a Geforce 4 card out there that does this?

Thanks for any suggestions.

the AIW series of cards are awesome. The remotes that come with them and the features that it comes with really make it for a rewarding purchase.
I bought the AIW 8500 and I loved it.

Or you could get an ATI TV-Wonder PCI card, not the VE version. Then if he needs to he can upgrade his video card without having to spend extra for the VIVO all over again.

I recently fitted an H.I.S. Radeon 9000pro VIVO. Price was low, it's a full speed 9000pro, and it has SVideo in and out. Neat.

;) Yeah the GF4TI series can come with a cheap but basic VIVO (TVout only is more common). The nVidia Personal Cinema is nVidia's high end solution but the ATI AIW series is still a fair bit better. Rad9000PRO or 8500 versions of the AIW are VERY good, 7500 is fine if you don't need gaming that much.
