Video card with TV IN?,vcr connected to the computer!!!

Is there a way in which my father can view his old vcr discs on the computer.Is it possible to see what we are seeing on tv,saya movie exactly the same to run on the monitor simultaneously such that instances from the monitor can be captured.

Yes sure. That's what the video-in port on a VIVO equipped graphics card is for. Alternatively, you can use the video-in port of a dedicated PCI TV card, or get a barenaked PCI video-in card like the Leadtek VC100.

The audio, btw, goes directly to the sound card's line-in port, regardless of which of the above video-in solutions you're going to use.
