OK now, Listen... RAMBUS is not a memory type, it is a COMPANY! RDRAM is the memory type, which stands for Rambus DRAM, not Rambus RDRAM... Again, RAMBUS is a Company, and they have been developing Memory for like... a really long time, I don't know.. but at least 10-15 years I believe... so it's not surprising to see "Rambus" on something.. it doesn't necessarily mean it's the same memory architecture as "RIMM" which is what you might be thinking.
I believe Rambus owns a LOT of patents such as SDRAM, DDRSDRAM...etc.. PS2 has RDRAM in it.. "X" box does too... So, it must have something good about it. 😕
No, I don't care anything about either Rambus, OR RDRAM! I personally am against what they are doing to the PC business right now.
