video card voltage

Is it possible to run a leadtek a310td fx5600 card which runs at 1.5 volts in my Asus cusl-2-c motherboard, the agp slot runs at 3.3 volts. The card will fit the slot but i am not sure weather to fit the card as i am wondering if the 3.3 voltage might cause the card to run too hot.
Regards jamesr

Putting a card that is designed to run at 1.5v in a 3.3v slot won't make it run too hot, it'll just kill the card.

sounds like you are trying to put an agp 4x or 8x card into a slot that only supports 2x. 4x/8x are incompatible with 2x due to differences in voltage, so i wouldn't try it if i were you.

Asus CUSL-2-C uses the i815 chipset which supports AGP 4x and if the board is made properly should be able to work with an AGP 4x/8x type card. One of the requirements of AGP 4x is support of 1.5v signalling.

Find your motherboard manual, it should confirm its support.

Many thanks for the reply,Ichecked the manual, and you are correct ,I fitted the card and no problems it runs ok.The temperature seems a bit high it is running around 61%C uder load
