Hey all. I have a gaming PC I built back in 2005 or so that has a C2D E4300 way overclocked, a 640MB 8800GTS, 6GB DDR2 overclocked, etc. Recently the fan on the 8800 died and so the card has died. I'd thinking of turning this old computer into a media server.

I can bring the CPU and memory clocks back down to normal (maybe even underclock the E4300). The motherboard had 6 Sata3 plugs, a PCIe x16 1.0, 3 PCIe, and 3 PCI slots. The case has 5 5.25 and 5 3.5 bays. Everything seems to be great for a server.

The problem is I need to drop in a new video card and I'm having trouble finding power draw benchmarks on anything from ~2008 or earlier. Newegg has a passively cooled 7200gs for about $25. Does anyone know if this would be a low-power solution, or maybe has a recommendation of a PCIe x16 1.0 card that will be low-power?
