hi so i have been battling this damn video card for months now and all peeople seem to do is ask one question about it then never get back to me. so its really nice to feel so helped

anyway... my video card spins up to full speed on startup. no post... nothin. what i have to do to get it to work is flip the power switch at the back, wait 2 seconds and turn it back on. the computer then boots itself fine. recently i have been noticing the screen going black randomly and the video card fan spinning full speed. even at the desktop. i have tried all things imaginable. checked everything. psu is a brand new 850 watt so its by no means a power issue. please know that whatever troubleshooting anyone can suggest i have done and to no success. im at a loss here. if i leave the computer plugged in after it boots succesfully i can come back days later and turn it on fine. but as soon as it loses power i have to trick it.

also. my power light. i never hooked it up cuz i hated that it was red against my green theme. bt i hooked it up and saw it on when the comp was off. wierd. so i turn the computer on and the light goes off. its backwards?!?!?!

i also noticed one day that i accidently hit my case with my foot. the computer froze. like some old ass computer would. no response. had to shut it off manually. i am using the computer to type this now so it does work. its just WTF is causing it to do this? i really hate having to "trick it" to turn on.

any help is greatly appreciated

Check GPU temperature. Sounds like the heat sink may not be seated properly.
Could also be something with your 12V rail.
