Video Card Recommendation?

I need a good video card (under $200.00) recommendation for my system I am updating. System will be

Asus A8V deluxe
Athlon x2 3800
1gb ram

I don't do any gaming mainly "office apps", surfing the net, and AUTOCAD.

6600gt or 6800 vanilla will be your best cards for that price range.

x800 is also good, assuming you don't plan on doing any next gen gaming (which you still might be able to, just 6 series cards have shader model 3, which you'll like for next gen.)

So any of those cards will serve your purpose fine, and even let you do some nice gaming.

My dad uses firegl in his laptop, hes an electrical engineer though so i dont know how similar the programs you use would be.

Dont pick the x800 or 6800/6600 series because they are not made to use autocad. Either a FireGL series or Quadro will work much better for autocad, because you can use aa/af with those on autocad (cant with gaming cards)
