Video card question

Hello I am working on a retro pc project and was wondering if nyone knew what the highest end video card was when the K7 1000 (slot A) came out.

Well,

If memory serves it was the GeForce DDR.

I remember a friend at the time buying a 1Ghz system with a 64meg GeForce DDR from Dell and I was in shock that it had a whopping 64 megs of ram when all the retail versions only had 32.

correct, the Gefore 256 64MB was the "best of the best" at that time
