Video card question

It's been a while since I've tracked the latest technology and was just wondering what the absolute best video card on the market is? I don't care about the price, I just want something that's absolutely top of the line right now, so it can give me some extra useage timewise (ie so I don't have to do any major upgrades to my PC for a while)

Like I said it's been a long time, so feel free to post your opinion (or fact based) thoughts on what you think is the best video card, and why you think it's the best.

The best you can do right now is a couple of 6800 Ultras in an SLI configuration, but I wouldn't recommend that unless you're looking to spend about $1000 just on the video end of things.

For single card configurations, a single 6800ultra or an ATI X800XTPE will be the best depending on the game.
