Every now and then my computer will restart on its own, and when it does that it wont get any video. The thing also beeps 3 or so times (or one long beep, I cant really tell)

So I turn the computer off then turn it back on a few times with the same result, no video. After the fifth try or so I will get a picture and I hold F8 and have windows reload the last working settings.

With that done it works for a few hr/days and the problem starts again.

I got the new nVidia drivers but that didnt fix the problem.

My computer
WinXP
1.4Ghz AMD
Shuttle AK31 266a
Geforce 2 GTS
510mb 2100 mem
and 2 IBM hard drives if it matters.

I'm running version 2.8.3.2 video drivers.

Anyone have anyidea whats causing this or some general
tips on how to fix such a problem?

Thanks

Try this (and don't ignore this because you're convinced you checked it already):

Open the case, and make SURE the back of the card is seated by pushing on the top of the card at the rear. You just might feel it give just a bit, and click into place.

I returned two cards and re-installed two operating systems over this, and it's a very common problem.
