video card problems

Ever since installing ati-tray tools in whom I've never made any kind of modifications in, I've been getting all kinds of wavy lines...almost like my video card is overheated or something even tho it has a built in fan and my case has like 5 more fans in it... and all that in a game I play that uses the UTK3 Engine - America's Army. I've seen this in the other game I play World of Warcraft. After seeing these problems, I've uninstalled ATI-Tray tool....I still get the same problem. I also did something else before installing ati-tray tools and which was install the new ati 5.8 drivers.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Uninstall the 5.8 drivers and go back to ones you had before. Not all drivers are issue free for all users, especially new ones.

Have you tried the auto-fill setting in the overclocking settings under fans?

That way you have a less chance of overheating.

Have a room fan blowing on the card to make sure its not overheating. If the problem persists, totally reinatall the card. You might even need to reinstall windows.
