video card problems

I take my Pc case off, and i have a GeForce 2 MX 400 AGP, and when i put it in the AGP Slot, and turn my PC back on, it sits at a blank screen, and does not continue to load windows, i currently use an onboard video card adapter, really all i am trying to do is use my old video card becuase my one im using new (onboard) seems to be causing problems with my gaming, it now creates lines that run up and down my screen and, cause my games to skip, and lock up, along with watching dvd's...also, if i remove the video card from my PC and turn the power back on, windows loads like usual and i have no problems....

Hi brakelessbia and Welcome to the Forums!

You might have to go into the BIOS and disable the onboard gfx. It should do this automaticaly, but you never know.

Some of the older agp gfx cards won't work on newer systems, might wanna double check what your mobo will handle, then see your cards specs to ensure it is compatible.
