Ok guys, i bought a 9600 XT 128 mb, and was trying to OC it
i bought the silent cooler thing, the one that acts as a case exhaust system, and it kinda worked, but it didnt exactly fit, so i was forced to put the stock cooler back on. I also put on some RAMsinks on the 8 memory mdules to OC the mem. I have no OC on, and manage to score 4950 3d mark03. However, ever since i switched the cooler, ive been getting system jumps, where its like lag, but my fps doenst go down, but like, the game im playing delays for a half a second. it happens about every 30 sec, and is getting annyoing, cause i wanna sell this comp soon. If you know what may be causing this, please let me know. It may have something to do with the compund i put on the cpu??? please let me know


 
i am playing both single player and online
i will try defregging, as i have not done that in awhile
what im asking is if my switching of hetsinks may have caused it
i tried to wipe off the old thermal grease as best as posdible, but i want to know if that may be the root of the problem.
 
ok, i defragged, and NOTHING, i still get this mad lag every 15-30 seconds, even on non online game, wtf! why am i still getting like 5000 3d 03 marks?!?!? please help!
