Video Card Problem

I bought an eVGA 6800 Limited Edition w/ 256MB DDR3 AGP video card from ZipZoomFly, when I start computer it looks like hundreds of different colored blocks. I've heard people have recieved bad cards from ZipZoomFly before. Computer works fine w/ other video cards. Wondering if the problem could be my monitor, it is old (Hansol 710P, from 1999). Also, could I maybe fix it by flashing the bios?

Thanks

When it comes up to the POST and WindowsXP loading screens, is the picture messed up? Or only when you get to the desktop?

What kind of power supply do you have?
Do you have the added power connectors on thier own line right from the PS?
Remember this card IS a 6800 ultra thats downclocked so it needs some serious power.
Flashing the BOIS might help with what your problem is but unlikely. You can get a new BIOS rirght from EVGA now ( they will email it to you since they have had issues with it).

-Can't even see post, get colored blocks right off the bat.

-Thermltake Purepower 420.

-Had 2 seperate 4-pin lines connected to it, and they were not connected to anything else, like they reccomend.

I would RMA it. There is a big thread about these cards in the Video forum and a few people had to RMA because of bad memory.
