i put in a new video card to test if it worked and it did. I replaced it with my old video card a geforce 3 but now windows wont boot up and it locks before it boots. i cant get into safe mode or anything. anyone experience this or know any ways to fix it? thanks

Put the last working video card in there and see if it boots. If it does, remove all traces of the video card driver, remove the display adapter from the device manager, shutdown, put the gf3 back in, reboot, and see if that works.

Might want to try Driver Cleaner to remove all traces of your drivers--follow the instructions...it's automatic & very thorough.
