So my 9700 AIW Pro is broken. Fan stopped working, and I have to send it in for repiars. So in the mean time, i ordered an 8mb AGP POS to substitute. It arrived today, and I installed it. And I pushed the power button, nothing happens. It's as if the cord isn't even plugged into the computer. So im like, wtf, and I pull it out, and suddenly the computer starts. The card is literally stopping the flow of power it seems. Any ideas?

More than likely the substitute card is 3.3v and your motherboard
doesn't except it (hard to tell without a description of the card/system).

If that is the case, you are lucky you didn't ruin the motherboard.
