Video card power

I need a little heads up on the kind of power supply I need to run a power-hungry PCI express graphics card (notably GeForce 6800 GT PCIe) and which connectors it uses. Does the power supply need to "support PCI Express" or is that just a marketing term? Can I convert a standard molex? Which rail is used for the graphics card power? What about SLI? Does it need two PCI Express/molex connectors? Somebody care to explain this in simple terms for me? Much appreciated...
 
No not a marketing term it is a new spec but your PSU does not need to support it.

Yes you can have a convertor or an adaptor.

For the Video Card IIRC 12V and 3.3Volt.

SLI depends on what card you get. I dont believe the 6600GT (some of them) requires another molex. If you get an Ultra each will require 2. (4 total)

PCI Express has its own power connector but Molex can be converted to the PCI express power? I guess I need to reword the SLI question: Are there any power supplies that can support SLI right now? How do I tell if it has enough power connectors?? This probably sounds stupid because I don't know what I'm talking about.

Yes, i believe Enermax OCZ and select Antec units support PCI-E standard. Well generally they only come with 2 PCI-E connectors so just get adaptors for the molex connectors for the rest. Yes Molex can be converted to a ::: (6pin) PCI-E connector.
