My current graphics card- BFG Geforce 7800GT(425/1050)
My soon-to-be graphics card-Radeon X1900XT(can't decide on brand, Asus looks good but they're out of stock at newegg, I'm looking at power color.)
My old graphics cards, oldest to newest- Some worthless mid-1990s 8mb Trident 3d Blade 9880 that wouldn't run anything at any resolution(I'm talking anything, even old games like Red Ace Squadron at 640*480 with low settings. It ran, but it was the ultimate definition of a slideshow.), then I got a Geforce 4 MX 440-SE in January of 2003 and thought OMG!!!!! I GOT TEH AWESOMEST VIDEO CARD EVER!!!!! A GEFORCE 4!!!!!! for $60!!!!!, but I later found out that it was the budget version and only had the power of a Geforce 256(the first Geforce) or a Geforce 2(don't know which, I'm talking the SE version, you know, SE means Slow Edition.), but it was still pretty huge upgrade from where I came from. I got games to run at 800*600 or 1024*768 with medium to low settings. I was satisfied until around october of 2004. Then I got the biggest update in my life. I got the AGP Nvidia Geforce 6800(the vanilla version) with 128mb, and it allowed me to play games at 1280*1024 with high settings, and I thought, This card is the ownage!!!!! And it was, but I was discontent because I could have gotten the 6800GT, so I kept eyeing the 6800GT. It stuttered on Far Cry at 1024*768 with 2xaa and 4xAF, but that was due to only having 512mb of ram, IMO. Then, I got the card I have today, the 7800GT. The biggest jump was from the 440-SE to the 6800, though, but I like my 7800GT. I'm still getting the X1900XT, though.
