under $150. To be used with dual monitor. One monitor to make "running changes". Second monitor to see what is being display on the Mitsubishi projector. It going to be used in my church for video, music, etc that is being displayed.

I think any VIVO card with dual head VGA/DVI should be ok for that... not sure thought.

I have a MSI 5900 with vivo and I can only run the capture software on the primary display when in dual view mode (a monitor and a TV) If I set it up to capture with the monitor (so I can actually read the text) then I can't play DVD's to the tv. It's not supported.

I was think about maybe a 440mx with either onboard video or another $50 video card. Would something like that work?

I don't know. I don't think it will work with just one video card, but maybe two videocards might work. I also don't know if you can use onboard video and an AGP slot at the smae time. Maybe an AGP card and a PCI card would work?

Not sure if MX440's have dual RAMDAC's needed for Dual display.
In that price range you might want to look for a VIVO GFFX 5600 of some sort. I think gainward made a "extra" edition 5600 with Dual Display and VIVO. lemme see if I can find it.

Here it is.

That's basically the same thing I have and mine only supports the capture and playback functions one one monitor at a time. I think he will need a second video card, and I'm not sure that would work.

I was looking at a PNY FX5200. It has dual display (15 pin) and S video out. But the question is which monitor would the video out come from?

Not sure what your asking? The video out come from the video card? You can hook it up to 2 monitors, or a monitor and a TV, and then select dual display in the nvidia driver. Then one of your monitors will be the primary and the other the secondary. In my system only the primary monitor will work with palyback or record software. If I start playback or record software and try to move it to the secondary monitor I get "not supported" error. That is with a monitor and a TV, I don't know if two monitors would be different? I also don't now if a second PCI video card would solve that problem or not?

I owend that PNY card, but notice that I have a 5700u now, the card was "aite'" but it really didn't perform well when playing games like HALO, if you're a gamer look elsewhere, but of you just dabble in casual gaming, and want a lot of features for a cheap proce tag you might want to check THIS out, it's a 5200 Ultra for 100 bucks, retail, and made by BFG, enjoy.
