I am trying to find a program that would overclock my video card, automatically, without doing anything manually. I don't want to mess with the frequencies, so i'm just trying to find a program, but i'm not getting any luck.

A overclocking program that will automatically increase or decrease the clock frequency to meet the demand placed on it. Like, when it's running a demanding 3d game, the clock frequency will be increase to its operating threshold.

So I want a simple program that will make my stuff run beyond what it's designed for and I want it to do it automatically without any input or even conscious thought on my part. It needs to figure out what's the best my system can do and then automatically change my system based on what I want it to do but I don't want to tell it to change, it should know. Also, it has to work with every video card ever made because I don't know which one I have. Oh, and one more thing, it has to be free.

I would really appreciate a link that way I don't have to google it myself. Thanks guys.

Yep, the ATI control center has an overclocking tester thing and you can set it to run for only 3D stuff.

It would help if the original poster said what kind of videocard he was talking about and why he wants to overclock it anyway. :p

Buy a new Dell XPS.

Anyways, if you want to know what kind of card you have, go to Start>Run and type "dxdiag" without the quotes. Then, when that starts up, go to the Display tab and tell us what it says under the Device section.

Personally I use RivaTuner good enough for me. Don't need some auto OC program, in fact I don't think those things are accurate or good for you. But ... Maybe write this in video forum, more vid card people there may know more.
