Video Card not Initializing

I have a strange problem that I hope somebody out there has encountered before.

I have an Asus A7m266 that was running my 1800 XP+ and it was running fine. Then I wanted to upgrade to a 2000 XP+ that was given to me. I swapped the chips out and put things back together and then the video card wouldn't initialize to bring the monitor out of power saving mode. I thought that maybe it was my video card (ATI Radeon 9700 Pro) so I swapped it with an old GeForce3 TI 200 and it did the exact thing, seems to start booting, no beeps and no video. So I then decided to reseat everything, cpu, memory, video card and tried again with no luck. I decided that it may be the AGP slot on my board so I swapped motherboards to a new Abit NF7-S. After I swapped boards and put everything back in, I have the exact same problem, fans turn on, start spinning drives start but no beeps and no video.

Not sure what to try at this point, hopefully somebody has seen this before. Thanks in advance for the help!

Welcome to the forums !

And sorry to say, but the CPU may be dead fromwhat you have said. Do you still have the 1800 to put back in and test with ?

I just tried that again, I had tried it before just forgot to mention it. Exact same results though, no beeps, no video... Any other thoughts? I know that at least the 1800 was working before yesterday afternoon when I first removed it.
