Hi there,

So the problem is my case is a haf 932 much like this one

not my case just example

and I have a gtx 280. However, unlike the video card on the above picture the mechanical PCI slot lock ons don't hold the video card for some reason or in other words they don't close all the way cause the video card has no crease between the metal vga connector and the plastic video card. I am worried cause whenever I turn over the case the video card loses to gravity and becomes all tilted. So i was wondering if this was normal or is my case/video card defected or should i just use screws to fasten the video card.

Always use screws in my opinion. The brackets never seem to work as well as I'd like. Even on the most expensive cases.

If it's a sliding motherboard tray, be sure the tray is slid all the way in. And make sure that the video card is pushed all the way into its slot. PCI-E video cards have a LOT of connector surface. I can't imagine one loosening on its own with ANY kind of retention enabled.

I would say to use the screw not the clip. Just open the clip all the way out and it will lock into an open possition allowing you to use the typical screw. For a larger card like that its best to use a screw anyway.

I agree with the previous posts; screw it in. I wouldn't trust that a bit of plastic would hold a heavy card like the GTX280 in.
