Video Card installation error

System32\DRIVERS\pci.sys it says to use the orginal non existant cd-rom. its an old hp.

i put in a old Geforce2 400MX(or whatever) the error came up on boot

the systems specs are 500mhz celeron
256mb of ram
1mb integrated video card.

im not sure what exactly to do.
 
disable/unattach all peripherals inc sound cards - all pci cards.

see what happens -

You did install the chipset/mobo drivers didn't you?
 
you need to reinstall the drivers for your original card, then to replace/upgrade the video card (which is what i assume you were wanting to do), change your video drivers to standard vga and shutodown the pc. then install your new video card and drivers.
