Video card for freind

A freind of mine wants a new video card. Basically he only want s card that can handle GTA Vice City and he has a prebuilt computer and his mobo does support AGP 4x. Here are the rest of his specs though (it is a prebuilt machine)

Intel Celeron 2.4GHz
Crappy mobo that supports AGP 4x
256MB of RAM
onboard vide

I already told him he should upgrade to 512mb of RAM. But he also needs a new video card. Any suggestions? He does nto really need top of the line but a good quality budget card. I may refer him to the trading forums too so he cna get a good deal on one.
 
how much u looking to spend?

rule of thumb tho....dont bother the Nvidia geforce FX 5x00 series

radeon 9600 pro is a good place to start...i dont live in america but im guessing around or under $100

Oh yeah, probably a 9600 Pro. Unless you can afford 240 for an AGP 6600GT, or want to roll the dice with a used 9800 Pro.
 
Yup, the 9600 is a good choice. If you have any money left over, doubling the RAM would also be a good choice...
