Video Card Flicker, Card or Cable?

I have this Video Card and it flickers on DVI but not VGA/D-Sub. When I view a spreadsheet, the border lines flicker, but only using the DVI output, not the VGA output.

I don't have a second DVI cable to test the cable. Is it more likely the DVI output or the DVI cable that is the problem?

Hmm, not sure how related this is, but my 8800gts 320mb with 2 dvi-outs runs fine using a dvi to vga adapter ( for my al2016w lcd monitor ) but as soon as I hook up my LCD tv with a DVI to HDMI connector, my LCD monitor will start flickering? If I unhook the LCD tv my LCD monitor will immediatly stop flickering.

Thanks for the reply.

I have a single 24" LCD monitor with 2 - D-sub and 1 - DVI ports, I assumed best to run DVI vs. analog. Not only do I get flicker, but sometimes it'll go blank for short periods. Never had a second PC running with the problem PC or connected to a TV.

At first I thought the LCD was dying, so I hooked up another PC (Vista) with integrated analog and like blew me away so sharp and no flicker. So then I hooked up the analog port of my card, again very sharp and no flicker.

Therefore I concluded it is DVI related, either the DVI port or the cable. Sound correct?

when I switched to dvi i had flicker and lines all of a sudden, turns out moving the cable further from the existing cables, especially the usb keybd cable cleared it right up. check for interference from other unsheilded cables.

Thanks for the insight.

I tried moving the DVI cable, away from all other cables, the flicker remained. I even draped the cable over the monitor, didn't help. I'll do some more testing in the coming days to see if it is cable crosstalk, but seems not.
