I have a Crystal Orb for my geforce 2 mx 400 32mb Videocard.

The fan is not spinning....

Can my VC still fuction using the Crystal orb as the heatsink without fan fuction or should I remove the whole thing and replace with stock heatsink?

Thanks

Do NOT run your graphics card without the fan for a long time.

I once had a GF256 (The first one) and the fan died on it. I didnt think much of it, 3 weeks later the thing went up in flames and smoke, im not kidding either.

Got blisters on my hand n stuff when i removed the card 🙁

Replace it all.

The GeForce MX 2 does not need active cooling. I have an Asus AGP V7100 (GeForce2MX) that has a medium sized passive heatsink on it. If your orb Heatsink is on the small side, you should replace the fan or install a large passive sink.
