I am wondering if anyone has installed a Blue Orb on an ASUS V6600? I am thinking about getting one and memory heatsinks to go along with it. The Blue Orb is about $12.00 and the heat sinks are $12.00 ($1.50 each, i need eight). How easy is this sucker to install. My card looks like it has pins holding the stock heatsink/fan, is this all that is typically used or do they "glue" it on as well?

I am going to order a Digital Doc 3 and have it monitor my GPU temp. Now would be a good time to replace the cooler if it is worth it.

Thanks

Heat sinks should come in a Kit with Thermal tape.
Or you can buy some thermal epoxy.
I used epoxy on my chipset, and Im going to try to install shortly on a Geforce.
The epoxy works great, if you want to put in the extra effort of sealing your chip connectors with silicon or liquid nails.
Thermal epoxy conducts electricty well, dont want to make ANY shorts on your chips. Bad news ;)

Yup, thats the stuff.
Make sure its NON electrical conductive.
Or, well, that would be bad.

What do you do, cover the contacts with it? Do you have some photos or a web page showing this done? Thanks
