Video card choices HELP

Hey i was about to buy a PNY 6800. What do you all reccommend. I dont play games that much but when i do i play things like Command And Conquer. I want to get a nice Lcd screen eventually. I mostly surf the internet and do video encoding type tasks. What company do you reccomend and which card do you all prefer. Ps i dont play Doom or Half Life type games. i looking more for video/tv quality. My price range is $300.00 to $375.00 ish

not sure ..... if u dont play games that much then something like a 9800 maybe? then the money saved goes to wards a nice lcd for u

I was looking at the Bestbuy BFG 6800 oc @ 299.00 or the PNY 6800 at compusa @ $280.00. Wouldnt a 6800 look and perform better than a 9800?

Would it look better? - There would be no differance

Would it proform bettter? - If you don't play the latest first person shooter then no.

So as far as quality in watching movies and light gaming would you say a PnY 5700 ultra is good enough(5700 Ultra is what i have)?

Most definately. Dont worry about an upgrade if the most demanding game is C&C Generals.
