Video card broke?

Hi,

Just wanted to get the knowledge of some of the gurus here, because I only had 5 minutes to test my computer this morning.

In brief I I noticed it was at a BSOD saying Physical Memory Dump. I had to reboot a couple of times, but essentially what it is doing now is frequently resetting the refresh rate(?--I mean that like when you reset the refresh rate, you monitor shuts off for a second), and the screen looks pixelated/odd colored pixels.

fyi, the videocard is a G3TI200 that is a couple years old, and it is a Dell 2.53ghz P4, 640 mb RAM, etc etc.

I am just trying to get ideas of what it could be, so that I can test them. My first instinct is the video card, but perhaps some of the memory went bad? It recently has been starting to act unstable, and I thought it perhaps related to the canon i470d usb printer I recently installed, but I didn't understand why that would cause problems. Now this morning it finally crapped the bed it seemed.

Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.
