The guy at the bottom right of the picture at the counter is much bigger than the puncher.
The guy next to him is pretty big.
The guy at the door is close to the same size.

I am 6'4" and around 280, and if that guy weighs as much as me, he is even more of a fat-ass than I consider myself to be....and I'm not a huge fat-ass, just big.
No way he's close to 300....now the guy at the counter I mentioned might be.
Plenty of beef in there to stop that idiot. All it would have taken was some balls.

I can understand the freeze-up. The trouble is, you never really know who is with who in a deal like this. You might think, "this guy is alone in here except for his girl", and then get a shiv in your kidney for stepping in.
I stood up for a stranger when I was young, and thought I knew who all the players were.
it was a sickening feeling to see the very edge of a fist coming up from the left corner of my view, and then hitting the pavement. It was a total sucker punch from someone I did not know was involved.

Actually looking back at the video, I think you're right. I'd probably put the guy at 265. The guy behind the guy getting railed at 220ish, and the big guy at the counter at least 285. Between the two guys not involved, they should've been able to detain the assailant.

Plus, the people who are resisting the police are crazy, usually drugged-up idiots to start with....they can take more of a beating and still keep fighting.

You must be a little guy. The guy was fairly husky, but not huge. He was fat, but not a massive athlete-type.
I agree about not taking a beating for a stranger, but keeping a fellow citizen from possibly being critically injured or even killed is different.

The coward sucker punched the guy, and it's pretty obvious that he was pretty much out at that point. You can't even defend yourself.
Two of those people could have easily taken that idiot down and held him until the cops came.
Hopefully his scumbag girlfriend gets some time, too.
The guy got 4 years, plus whatever he gets for violating his probation.

I'm 5'11" 178 pounds, more average than little. If I was in that situation as a bystander I honestly don't know what I would've done. I would like to say I would've helped out but I don't know if I really would. Now, if I felt like it got to a point where his life was in danger I probably would've jumped in.

No one "froze up". Look at their faces, not one of them is scared. Theyre just watching. I would have done the exact same thing. Because they all KNOW this isnt their fight, and the guy isnt going to go around and start beating on all of them in turn. I bet this isnt the first time they've all seen something like this, hell I sure havent.

All you damn suburban and country kids need a lesson in city life. You can act all mighty in person, or over the keyboard, but if anyone touched him, he would have wailed on your face just like the rest of them. I doubt any of them even knew there was a camera in the room, which is even yet another reason not to get involved.

Everyone in there just wanted some damn pizza. No one wanted a beating. If you would have jumped on the guy, thats your prerogative, but dont berate anyone else or act all high and mighty. Not a single one of them did anything to start it, no one knew anyone there, sh*tty situation, but if its anyones fault, its the black guys. Dont lose sight of that and blame the rest of the people.

He got what he deserved, to spend the next 4 years behind bars, although we would probably be doing society a service by locking him up and throwing away the key.
