No, I stereotype because I see that it's a very common trait in white people.

The whole "race card" and "stereotyping" thing may work against some people on a campus who are very sensitive and politically correct, but I'm just going to have to tell you to stop crying and grow a set. It doesn't work on me. I'll tear into a fat juicy burger in the middle of a Peta convention, that's how much I bow down to people's cries of sensitivity. For God's sake, I have a "Peta" shirt that says "People for the Eating of Tasty Animals" that I wear to offend people.

Sadly enough, Chris was dead right in that HBO special 🙁 I've seen it way to many times...in my own family to be exact.

Like my two teenage cousins that are sitting in jail right now for kidnapping a girl, assaulting her, stabbing her amongst her body with a a pair of sharp scissors, then tying her up to a chair and leaving her.

I couldn't give a sh!t about being PC. What I am calling you out for is being an ignorant racist. But, hey, we all have to be true to our observations and our beliefs. i've only taken an intro to psych course, but there was something along the lines of a group effect, where people are less likely to help someone in danger the more people there are. yada yada, should look it up..


i wish i could see the video though :/ all i get is blasted commercials.

like others have said before, i dunno if i would've done anything, but i'd have felt awful guilty if i hadn't done something and probably sent an apology to the victem.
 
Reason those guys didn't jump in was because that dude was huge, if he was normal sized I'm sure one or two would've tried to break it up. Not many is willing to take a beating to help a stranger.

I was walking on a bike trail with a couple of friends of mine when out of nowhere something struck my head hard and made it bleed. I thought someone hit me with a rock. I took off and later found out that it was a neighborhood kid that plucked me in the head with a BB gun. So a couple days later we went over there to confront him, I brought my "trusty" friends as backup, and when I calmly asked him why he shot me he sucker punched me while my friends looked on and did nothing. It's 3 on 1 and the other 2 couldn't even lift a finger help out when I went down.

But since we were still young we didn't stay mad for long, and eventually we became friends. The other guys though I stopped hanging out with, because who wants gutless cowards as friends?

I wouldn't have stepped in and slugged the kid, I woulda just gotten you up and gotten you out of there. In a situation like that, the only reason your friends should be around is to make sure you don't get seriously hurt. They're not there to fight your battle for you if you can't get the job done.

I would have stepped in if my friend was down, prolly would have attempted to beat the kid or break it up. Did it at least once for my friends before.
 
Honestly, the point someone made about this guy attacking him after seeing the small guys in their was dead on. Being a big guy I have seen this alot, where a big guy starts sh1t with a bunch of little guys around knowing they will freeze. It has nothing to do with them all being white, it was a size issue.

Once, a huge drunk redneck was pushing my friends around outside a pool hall (pushing them to the ground to be exact). I walked up to him & told him to stop & he walked towards me. Now I am 6'3 and was a very solid 250lbs at the time so he had to know I wasn't about to walk away & let this continue. He walked towards me after being asked to stop & went to push me and then I smacked his hands away from me before he even touched me. He got pissed & started yelling "Touch me again!!!" a few times while I turned & walked off behind my friends. I looked back at him & realized he was alot more scared about what happened with me than my friends were of him. Meanwhile his friend (also pretty big) stood there & watched it all go down...lol

I guess my point is this is just a bully situation. It has nothing to do with black or white or anything other than size & ego. This guy let his ego run wild because nobody in there could physically challenge him. Would he have done this in a store full of equal size black guys? Yeah most likely. Would it have been broken up? Probably not.

On a side note, that guy that got hit has a hell of a jaw.

Kitty genovese is inapplicable in this situation. Kitty was being raped in the courtyard of a apt building. No one else was in danger, everyone else was assuming that someone else called the cops, and were just watching. This kind of stuff happens every day.

But I'll say flat out, I wouldnt have lifted a damn finger in that situation. Not cause I'm a pussy, but because its not my business, not my problem, and that guy was freaking huge. Ive seen guys get their faces beat in on the bus, on the train, on the street.

Maybe its the new yorker in me, but I'm not getting punched in the face, stabbed, or even shot over someone else's fight. You can call them pussies, I'll call them smart. I would have done the exact same thing.

Ive got a dollar that everyone else who calling pussy probably wouldnt have done a god damn thing in person, and probably has never been in the situation to find out whether they are a "pussy" or not. A lot of keyboard macho men around here.

I'll take a beating for a friend, I wont take one for a stranger, because I value my life.

It's not a real ass beating when it's like that. Hell anyone can beat someone's ass like that. Let him walk into a fight with someone his own size & a referee and see how much of an ass beating he gives. That guy was a big fat pile of crap, so I would think alot of guys his size could beat him senseless pretty quick.
