Hey i am wanting to capture some vcr tapes and convert them to DVD's. I have ADS Tech's DVD Xpress, and and wondering what settings i should use for optimum file size and quality. I am encoding in the MPEG2 format and am wondering what i should set my video and audio bit rate to?

I am not sure what 'optimum' is but I would capture at the highest bitrate you machine + HD can manage and then go from there.

DVD quality MPEG2 is 8000kbyte/s and it goes down from there.
