Ok I wanted to get a ATI all in one wonder or a personal cinema 2, but I was thinking man paying $70.00 extra each time you buy a video card is crappy. I would much rather get a card that only does the VIVO type stuff, and then buy seperate video cards, so I could upgrade Video cards often (i like to buy the cheap ones when new ones come out) and keep the video capture device around. So , does anyone know any good ones I should check out?

But I wanted to get the features that come with a all in one wonder type card. I.e. remote (RF not IR) and software to edit and record and what not included. I looked at the WinFast TV2000 XP by leadtek, but it does not seem to have the functionality of an AIW or personal cinema type device.

thanks in advance

Been going thru this one myself.I even tried the leadtekA250 getforce card with vivo and the WinFast software for recording. Can't say i liked it much compaired to the ATI software and picture quality so i returned it.If you like the ATI multimedia software and features get a TV Wonder(video out, video in,TV tunner)and a Remote Wonder(RF remote and reciever). But by the time you add 9700pro to the list your cost will exced a AIW9700pro.

Pinnacle do a USB Cable that acts as Video in, it doesn't cost too much and comes with appropriate software, you could then add that to a TV-Out video card....doesn't have a remote though, goes for around £35 in the UK.

video over USB is horrible. You could do it over Firewire, but the initial cost, firewire card and converter (like the Dazzle Hollywood DVBridge, or Canopus ADC) would set you back $300-400, but that would only be a one time thing. But no remote or anything like that.

Thanks I have been looking at the canopus things, and also the ADS pyro, but you hit it on the head (they dont have a remote) Maybe I will have to buy an ATI remote wonder and TV wonder, but the thing is it doesn't sound like they have good video editing software. I realized this might be more expensive(will be) than an AIW, but like I said I was hoping that I could continue to use the video captue/edit/out card and upgrade my video card saving money in the long run. I may be wrong but oh well.
