ok so i have a wintv 250mce with (what i believe to be) rca video in and L R audio in's. does anyone know how good this is for video capture? im assuming it will work for capture, havent tried it yet but why else would the jacks be there? if you know different PLEASE tell me. also... what a decent stand alone video capture card? i might just use the computer im the den for it, i really dont want to miss a recording (i record for my family and they love their TV).

im doing this for my sister so im not sure what camcorder it is exactly but shes loaded so its probably something pretty good so video capture quality is pretty important to me. also, i used MCE2004, so if it is possible (and the capture quality is decent), what software should i use?

if someone could help me on this i would really appreciate it... thanks.

if its a dv camcorder then just use any firewire ( IEEE 1394) plugin to capture. lots of different software can be used after that.
You could even use windows movie maker for the capture software if you do not have anything else, I am not familiar with MCE but i am sure it has its own brand of capture software
