I have an Asus Radeon 9600XT w/ VIVO and am using the Soundstorm on my DFI Infinity to capture from an 8mm video camera. The video is sync'd if I do smaller clips, but if I record say 2 hours at a time the video will be a couple seconds longer than the audio, and so they won't be lined up. Any clue what might cause this? It's almost as if the video takes longer to encode, and so is running a bit slower than the audio. I'm not sure.
I've used:
Sonicfoundry Vegas and Asus' Digital VCR program to try capping the video. Vegas records in raw AVI/PCM format, the ASUS program records in mpeg 2.
