My car doors lock automatically when I put it in D. Worst case I back up quickly and go around the car in front of me and avoid a confrontation with the jerkoff in the BMW.

The car doesnt make you an asshole. Assholes tend to gravitate towards the car, in general.
The fact theres a handful of decent BMW drivers out there supports this theory.
Poor assholes gravitate to Acuras, at least it seems that way in Virginia.

Also the power of a BMW might unleash the inner asshole you never knew about. Or always knew about but were afraid to let the world see.
Thats why so many of them act like normal people when they leave the car. After parking like dicks of course.

My dad drives a BMW and has for a few years. Nice guy and not an asshole except to me 🙂 That's a different story though.

On a serious note, I'm surprised so many car manufacturer's default setting is to not lock doors or when the car is put in park automatically unlock everything.

I make it a point to change those settings, it keeps wackos like the BMW driver out and maybe even the NYC police on motorcycle rides... :whiste:

Statistically BMW drivers have the most road rage. Though in fairness, I see a lot of luxury car drivers doing the exact same thing. Around here, it's asshats driving Lexus RXs. I think it all boils down to a form of classicism. They consider themselves of higher status because they can afford a luxury vehicle, and others should get out of their way. It's quite ironic though to see someone driving an old ass A4 or 3 Series behaving that way. Or worse, a Benz B-Series. :biggrin:

Seems more like the grey car blocked the intersection. I wouldn't have done what the guy in the BMW did (Cutting lanes and driving around without taking consideration to traffic coming from the right.), but i don't really think that this is worth the "BMW douche bag driver" title.

The grey car was the douche bag for not waiting outside the intersection until there was room to drive into it.

Sadly that is totally what would happen too. Or if a cop saw it before the guy shoots, he'd get a beat down from the cop. Possibly shot "he might of had a knife!" is a standard excuse for shooting someone.

Here if you don't block the intersection when the traffic is backed up all the way to it, people behind you start to beep at you and go around and in front of you. Pisses me off. I want to obey the law but then some asshole will get mad at me for doing it.

It's a mostly exaggerated stereo type. Now as for BMW owners being horribly shitty drivers that's absolutely true. I don't find dude in the video to be a douche really, but he's definitely a bad driver.

yeah man i think i seen all the russian dashcam vids. they are really PSAs and have made me a more cautious and better driver after watching them. should be mandatory to watch to get a license here

I saw the video that was posted about the Russians.

It's not really anything to learn from. I find it akin to trying to teach the average high schooler that there's this magical force in the universe known as gravity that attracts everything to everything else. The ones that know are going to roll their eyes since it's common knowledge and you're explaining it as if it's ground breaking news. The ones that don't know it at that point are beyond help.

Seriously what's up with that Russian video? I thought it would at least be people doing risky things that doesn't pan out... nope... it's a video that seems to suggest that every driver in Russia either has alien hand syndrome or fails to understand even the fundamentals of physics and the rules of the road.

I guess I did learn to not drive if I ever visit Russia... I didn't learn that I can't fit a box truck in 1/3 of a lane... I had that down already lol.
