VIDEO ASPECT RATIO PROBLEM

Hey guys, I have run into a problem that I cant quite figure out. For some strange reason, all of my videos, whether widescreen or otherwise are all being viewed as 4:3 (standard TV resolution) stretched. This happens with ANY player that I use... Winamp, MediaPlayerClassic, WindowsMediaPlayer... I have tried reinstalling my XviD codec but its still the same. I have tried reinstalling my GFX card drivers but its still the same. I have also reinstalled monitor drivers. I have no idea why my movies are being stretched and the aspect ratio will no longer view correctly by default. Help!

Isn't there a configuration somewhere that allows you to lock the aspect ratio? I know sometimes I get this problem when I try to fullscreen mediaplayer...what I need to do is manually drag the window to fill up the screen. As for fullscreen mode, I'm not too sure.
