Okay tree hugger, if you would open up your pea brain, you would understand how the Middle East lives and dies by the sword. These people have lived under Saddams brutality for decades. They don't understand politics, they only understand bombs and guns. LETS FEED IT TO THEM! MOABS AND NUKES. NOW.

if you had any education and were not a retarded hick, you would know that middle east was the birthplace of civilization and of quite a lot of scholars.
saying that they are all dogs and deserve to die, or that all they understand is the sword just shows how dumb you are.

beheading in front of the camera to show their resolve has been used by al queda quite a few times before. think chechnia and russian soldiers (links to some of those videos circulated a few years ago).
ring a bell?

That's too bad. I normally watch Fox News, but if they show the full video I will be very disappointed in them. That's just in poor taste.

No, they will not show the actual deed - they are now saying the the militant who is leading the act could be one of Osama Bin Ladin's men, and that the website is owned by him. Talk about a link between Iraq and Alquaida (sp?), Bush's efforts will get a HUGE boost if it's true.

Ah...so you're taking delight in the fact an American was beheaded. Your Savior, the Bush-God, will now have a clear path to re-election.

You neocons are disgustingly hypocritical.

You're implying this is a link to Iraq and Al Qaeda that was in existence pre-9/11? Do you have any idea how much of an idiot you are if that's your point?

What he is saying and what you are saying are worlds apart. He is saying we need to take the gloves off and really fight the people doing these things. He is correct in that. We have been trying to play nice and it is costing us.

Taking the gloves off is not the same as calling for nukes and M.O.A.B's. Not at all. You are taking a very simplistic, and I'm sorry moronic, approach to this situation.

Okay, you're right. I'll concede. Let's NUKE Fallujah and Najaf only as examples. It would be the equivalent of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Then all the normal Iraqi's will bow down and succumb to overwhelming power. They don't respect us, but they will respect the NUKE.

I'm surprised it took this long - this kind of stuff has been coming out of Chechnya for a long time.

Daniel Pearl, lets not forget that
Believe me, I haven't forgotten it, but the Chechen stuff was coming out way before that. Pretty sick. And you know, it works - this stuff really freaks people out.

No, I'm not - but that will be the question if a current link is validified. You can bet your balls that if this is an incident run by Al Qaeda, Bush will have it investigated to see if they had a presence before the war......

Again, let's avoid a Bush bash fest or pissing match in this thread. I just don't see how bashing the President can even be related to this thread.

What Passions is saying is correct. Should this video get out to the public it will rally support behind the President's war effort. Just the news of it alone will likely do that, but if the video were to get out you would see a very angry American populace that would further support our operations in Iraq and the war on terrorism in general. By no means was Passions taking pleasure in the killing of an American, he was stating an opinion, one that I believe to be correct.

Seriously, call off the attack dogs. I think you read too much into his statement.

Not likely and I don't feel Bush needs to apologize for what has happened recently. I don't defend our soldiers who did what they have allegedly done nor do I begrudge the enemy for what they do. We chose to go over there and this is the fallout that we should come to expect.

Well, both of your opinions are dead wrong, imo.

This will not save the Bush re-election campaign. I think it will hurt it more. They'll see this administration has lost control over the command infrastructure and now it's costing additional American lives.

I'm gonna go with conjur on that, and add that I don't really give a sh*t what it does for anybody's election hopes.

In Japan, there was a military and political leadership that the message was targeted to. The attitude of the Japanese people was such that only the demonstration of a superior weapon that they had no way of defeating would cause them to realize the hopelessness of the situation. They were also able to realize the effect that it would have on the population.

With respect to Iraw, there is no military/political leadership that we have as direct opponents.

You apparently do not realize the effects of a nuke.

The situation in Iraq is like within the ghetto of large cities. Most people respect the system, but you have gangs that manipulate the system and create terror/problems for the population and government.

The troublemakers have to be removed; scorched earth is not the answer.

The military has to stop fighting with feather pillows and utilize the full might of our convential technologys. The insurgents can nibble our will to death unless we make the effort to eliminate them and all that encourage them. Ala Israel & Hamas. Notice how Arafat is cowering in fear currently and has previously begged for the world powers to step it to save his skin.

Terrorism can be defeated with force. Results will then provide political and public support.

Passions You need to think before you post. Grand ideas will not solve all the problem, logic needs to be applied to look at all known aspects of the picture. This usually comes from experience and the ability to listen to ones elders. They have been through this situation before.

Young pups are dangerous when not properly not kept on a leash.

I agree completely. I don't see how this could possibly help Bush's chance at a re-election. It's only going to get worse, and hopefully people wake up and realize that this administration needs to go. Our Administration's arrogance is asinine, it needs to end.

Again let me say....this thread is NOT ABOUT THE PRESIDENT. It is about an innocent man who was killed while doing his job. He was murdered by subhuman garbage who do not deserve to breath the same air as civilized and responsible humans.

I'm sure the rest of the world wouldn't mind one bit if we used a nuclear weapon. Probably wouldn't have any consequences either. This may be one of the most idiotic statements in the thread.

Agreed.

It's time to get our focus back on the war on terror. Al Qaeda needs to be eliminated, once and for all!
