For converting an analog video signal to a digital format will a graphics video card like Ati's AIW series perform well or should I purchase something like Plextor's ConvertX?

What would be the best choice for video A/D conversion?

Among other uses I've got a bunch of camcorder VCR tapes I'd like to convert to DVD
